Steel Estimator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Estimator to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in steel estimation and fabrication, with hands-on experience in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks, and preparation of fabrication drawings. The role will involve site visits, detailed steel estimation, and bid development for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimate Preparation:

· Review and interpret architectural and structural blueprints and project documents.

· Calculate quantities of steel materials such as beams, columns, braces, decking, and other components.

· Identify labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs for steel fabrication, delivery, and erection.

· Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.

2. Bid Development:

· Analyze project scopes and client requirements to develop competitive bids.

· Solicit and evaluate supplier quotes for steel materials, components, and subcontracted services.

· Collaborate with project managers and engineers to confirm project specifics.

· Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and building codes.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

· Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent.

· 2-3 years of experience in steel estimation and fabrication.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks, and preparation of fabrication drawings.

· Experience with on-site visits and understanding of fabrication processes.
