Steel Structural Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Steel Structural Inspector to join our construction team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting structural steel works, including fabrication, welding, and erection, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of structural steel works including fabrication, erection, alignment, and bolting
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, IFC drawings, and approved procedures
• Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications
• Conduct and witness NDT activities (UT, RT, MT, PT)
• Inspect welding activities in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards
• Review Material Test Certificates (MTC) and ensure correct material usage
• Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and QA/QC documentation
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, consultants, and client representatives
• Participate in inspection requests (IRs) and site acceptance processes

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in structural steel inspection (construction projects)
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes
• Familiarity with international standards such as AWS, AISC, and ISO
• Experience in large-scale construction projects preferred
