Steel Structure Draftsman

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Steel Structure Draftsman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in steel structure drafting and detailing, with the ability to independently prepare accurate fabrication and erection drawings.

Key Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Expertise in 2D drafting and basic 3D modeling.
• Experience in preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for steel structures.
• Ability to develop and detail complex steel structures independently.
• Sound understanding of structural steel connections, fabrication processes, and construction practices.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.
• Experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
• Ability to interpret engineering and structural design drawings accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum relevant experience in steel structure drafting and detailing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication and erection drawings for steel structures.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
• Revise drawings based on design modifications and client feedback.
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and fabrication requirements.
