Irvine Young Engineers is seeking energetic and reliable STEM Instructors to teach hands-on engineering, robotics, and coding classes for children ages 4–12 in Irvine and surrounding areas. If you enjoy working with kids and love building, problem-solving, and technology, this is a great opportunity to make an impact while having fun.

Irvine Young Engineers is an international STEM education program that teaches children engineering, robotics, coding, and critical thinking using LEGO®-based models, mechanical builds, and programming platforms. Our programs are offered in schools, learning centers, and community locations.

What You’ll Do

• Teach fun, interactive STEM classes using Young Engineers’ curriculum and materials
• Lead students through hands-on building, robotics, and coding activities
• Explain engineering and technology concepts in an age-appropriate way
• Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment
• Manage small groups of students and keep them engaged
• Set up and clean up materials before and after classes
• Track student participation and progress
• Represent Young Engineers in a professional and friendly manner

Who We’re Looking For

Required

• Enjoys working with young children ages 4 to 12
• Strong communication and classroom presence
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Comfortable with hands-on activities and learning new technology

Preferred

• Experience teaching, tutoring, or working with children
• Background or interest in STEM (engineering, robotics, coding, math, science)
• Experience with LEGO®, robotics kits, or coding platforms
• Education or college coursework in a related field

Schedule

• Part-time
• After-school, evenings, weekends, and school breaks
• Consistent weekly classes available

Pay: $26.14 - $31.48 per hour
