Responsibilities
- Record daily receipt and consumption of materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures, spare parts).
- Verify stock against records and report discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Maintain stock registers/manual or ERP software and asset registers as per company policy.
- Manage incoming materials, inspect quality, and ensure correct storage (with safety and FIFO - First-In, First-Out - practices).
- Issue materials and spare parts for plant maintenance, batching, or repair activities, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the purchase department for timely replenishment.
- Prepare monthly store reconciliation statements and assist in audit activities.
- Follow compliance, housekeeping, and safety measures specific to industrial/construction environments.
- Generate Material Received Report (MRR) and support statutory documentation required in construction.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, ERP software, and basic office applications (Excel, Word).
- Attention to detail for material identification, record-keeping, and reporting discrepancies.
- Physical stamina for handling heavy construction materials.
- Communication skills for coordination with purchases, plant operations, and vendors.
- Understanding RMC processes and common construction material specifications.
- Responsible organization and time management supporting timely batch production.
Typical Qualifications
- Minimum 12th pass (Higher Secondary), Diploma in Inventory/Supply Chain/Engineering preferred.
- Previous experience (2-5 years) in store/inventory management in construction, manufacturing, or similar industry.
- Certification in inventory management, ERP, or plant operations is an advantage.
