Job Title: Store Assistant

Department: Stores / Inventory Management

Reports To: Store In-charge / Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting daily store operations, including receiving, issuing, and recording materials and equipment. The role ensures proper documentation and inventory control by maintaining records of inward and outward goods, preparing GRNs, and keeping the store area organized and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify materials, supplies, and equipment against purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) for all incoming materials.
• Record and update inward and outward material movements in registers or ERP systems accurately.
• Ensure all stock items are properly labeled, stored, and organized.
• Issue materials to concerned departments as per approved requisitions.
• Maintain proper documentation for stock receipts, issues, and returns.
• Assist in periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and physical inventory checks.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Store In-charge about shortages or overstock situations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards in the storage area.
• Coordinate with the purchase and accounts departments for material reconciliation and documentation.
• Keep records up to date and support internal or external audits related to inventory.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma / Graduate in any discipline.
• Basic knowledge of storekeeping, inventory control, and documentation.
• Familiarity with GRN preparation and stock movement registers.
• Good computer skills (MS Excel, Word, ERP systems preferred).
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping discipline.
• Ability to work independently and in coordination with other departments.

Preferred Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in a store/inventory/warehouse role in manufacturing, construction, or trading industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,681.21 per month
