Store Keeper

Job Summary:
As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and supplies within a store or warehouse. This role involves ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining records, and keeping the store organized and clean, all while adhering to safety and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
  • Organize and store items in appropriate locations based on classification and usage.
  • Issue materials to relevant departments or personnel upon request.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and transactions (manual or computerized).
  • Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of stock.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform management of low inventory or expired items.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely restocking.
  • Prepare and submit reports (stock movement, damage reports, etc.) as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in storekeeping or inventory management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory clerk, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and systems (e.g., ERP, MS Excel).
  • Good physical stamina for lifting and organizing stock.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
  • May be required to lift or move heavy items.
  • May work in warehouses, storerooms, or outdoor storage areas.
  • Could involve standing for long periods or working in shifts depending on industry
