Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Store Manager to lead our sports store. As a Store Manager, you will oversee all daily operations of our store, ensuring its smooth operation and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, with a particular emphasis on sporting goods. You will be responsible for ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded, inventory is managed effectively, and the store provides an inviting shopping environment. Your leadership will motivate the team to maintain high standards of service to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales and performance goals.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently by all staff members.

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure inventory is well-maintained.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase foot traffic and drive sales growth.
• Hire, train, and develop store staff, providing ongoing support and feedback.

• Analyse sales reports and use data to make informed business decisions.
• Manage store budget and forecast sales to align with financial goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a sports setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers.
• Proficiency in inventory management and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to analyse sales figures and understand financial statements.
• Familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems and retail software applications.
