Store Officer

Job Description

· Maintain and manage hospital store inventory including medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.

· Ensure proper receiving, checking, and recording of all incoming items.

· Issue required items to different hospital departments as per approved requisitions.

· Maintain stock registers, bin cards, and inventory records accurately.

· Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages.

· Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory audits.

· Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and medical supplies.

· Coordinate with the procurement department for timely purchasing of required items.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.

· Ensure compliance with hospital policies and inventory control procedures.

· Manage expiry dates and ensure expired items are removed from stock.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.

· 2–3 years of store/inventory experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.

· Hands-on experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.

· Skills & Competencies:

· Good knowledge of inventory management.

· Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

· Basic knowledge of MS Excel / hospital inventory software.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Ability to work under pressure in a healthcare environment.
