- Purchasing & Procurement:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and quality.
- Process and manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance.
- Stay updated on market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement new technologies.
- Inventory & Store Management:
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock while minimizing excess.
- Create and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct stock audits and inventory reconciliations.
- Oversee product storage practices and ensure quality.
- Handle discrepancies and quality issues with received goods.
- Collaboration & Strategy:
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., sales, production, finance) to forecast and determine material requirements.
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure purchasing aligns with sales targets and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to procurement.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the supply chain.
