Position : Storekeeper ( Central Kitchen ) - Male candidates Only.

Location : Dubai Industrial City

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Optimal Stock Levels: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all raw materials, perishable goods, non-perishable items, and kitchen supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ordering and Procurement: Coordinate with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to estimate food consumption and prepare requisitions for new stock. Place routine orders with approved suppliers and liaise with vendors for timely deliveries.
  • Stock Rotation: Strictly implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods for all stock, especially perishable goods, to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Issuance of Stock: Manage and track all movement of stock, including receiving materials and accurately issuing ingredients/supplies to the various sections of the central kitchen based on approved requisitions.
  • Stock Control and Audits: Conduct regular (daily/weekly/monthly) physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.

II. Receiving and Inspection

  • Receiving Deliveries: Accept and sign for all incoming deliveries from suppliers.
  • Verification and Inspection: Critically inspect all delivered goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, verifying quality, quantity, and price.
  • Quality and Damage Control: Check the quality of food and beverage items (e.g., temperature, condition, expiry dates). Reject any damaged, substandard, or incorrect items and coordinate the return process and credit notes with suppliers.
  • Documentation: Accurately process and record all incoming stock into the inventory management system/database.

III. Storage, Organization, and Hygiene

  • Secure and Proper Storage: Store all items (dry, chilled, and frozen) in designated, secure locations according to their required storage conditions (temperature, humidity).
  • Maintain Organization: Ensure all storage areas (walk-in freezers, refrigerators, dry stores) are kept clean, tidy, and organized for easy and efficient retrieval of stock.
  • Food Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles for receiving, handling, and storing food.
  • Allergen Management: Assist with organizing and managing the storage of ingredients to help with allergen control within the kitchen.

IV. Administration and Reporting

  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, accurate, and up-to-date records of all stock movements, including receipts, issuances, returns, and disposals, using the inventory management software.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports (e.g., daily consumption, weekly stock movement, monthly inventory valuation, and purchasing reports) for the management team (e.g., Executive Chef, Cost Controller).
  • Cost Management: Track food and operational supply usage and costs. Provide analysis to identify trends, consumption patterns, and suggest cost-cutting or waste reduction measures.
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain professional and effective communication with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and resolving disputes.
