Job Summary:
The Storekeeper is responsible for the effective management of materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts used in dewatering operations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, proper storage, timely issuance of items to site teams, and compliance with company and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, pumps, pipes, fittings, generators, and spare parts related to dewatering operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems.
- Issue materials and equipment to site teams based on approved material requests.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and safe handling of all materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Report damaged, missing, or obsolete items and coordinate replacements or disposal.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards within the store area.
- Prepare inventory reports, stock movement records, and material usage summaries.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and logistics teams for material deliveries and returns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or inventory management is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Storekeeper in construction, dewatering, or related industries.
- Knowledge of dewatering equipment, pumps, pipes, hoses, valves, and construction materials is preferred.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory systems).
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Physically fit and able to manage materials and equipment.
- Familiarity with UAE construction site practices is an advantage.
