Storekeeper (Crusher industry)

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment, maintaining accurate stock records, and overseeing the receipt, issuance, and safe custody of company assets. The role ensures that all store operations are conducted in line with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming goods and materials.
• Check and verify delivery notes against purchase orders and materials received.
• Prepare and update Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for every delivery.
• Maintain proper storage of items to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
• Issue materials and equipment only against approved requisitions or gate passes.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Update stock records in the system (manual and/or ERP) accurately and promptly.
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management immediately.
• Assist in logistics coordination for materials movement (loading/unloading).
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and security of the store area.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate stock and GRN records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Store/Warehouse Management preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations (preferably in heavy machinery, construction, or manufacturing industries).
• Strong knowledge of stock management, documentation, GRN preparation, and ERP/WMS systems.
• Ability to interpret and verify delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and handling procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
