Storekeeper - Joinery

The Storekeeper in a joinery workshop is responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling all materials, tools, hardware, and finished products. The role ensures smooth workshop operations by maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting production teams, and ensuring timely availability of materials for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Management

• Receive, inspect, and store timber, boards, veneers, hardware, adhesives, fittings, and other joinery materials.
• Maintain accurate stock records using manual or digital inventory systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and generate requisitions for replenishment.

2. Material Handling & Distribution

• Prepare and issue materials to carpenters and production teams based on job orders or cutting lists.
• Ensure materials are labeled, organized, and stored according to type, size, and usage.
• Coordinate with workshop supervisors to prioritize material dispatch according to project schedules.

3. Receiving & Inspection

• Check incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect for damages, defects, or incorrect quantities.
• Ensure proper documentation for received and returned goods.

4. Tool & Equipment Management

• Issue tools and equipment to workshop staff and maintain usage logs.
• Ensure tools are returned, cleaned, and stored safely.
• Report damaged or missing tools for repair or replacement.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain updated inventory databases or stock cards.
• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly stock reports.
• Assist in cost tracking of materials used per project.

6. Safety & Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store area.
• Comply with workshop safety regulations for handling timber, chemicals, and heavy items.
• Ensure proper storage of flammable materials such as adhesives and finishing products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
