Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a storekeeper, warehouse assistant, or forklift operator, preferably in the F&B or hospitality sector.
- Valid Forklift Operator License/Certification (mandatory).
- Knowledge of safe handling and storage of food products (dry, chilled, and frozen).
- Familiar with FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory methods.
- Experience with inventory management systems / ERP software is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to handle lifting, loading, and stock movement.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Basic communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, stack, and move materials safely.
- Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring accuracy of quantities and quality of goods.
- Store food and beverage items in the correct temperature-controlled areas (dry, chilled, frozen).
- Maintain proper inventory records and update stock movement in the system.
- Issue materials to departments based on approved requisitions.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconciliation.
- Follow safety, hygiene, and security standards in the storage area.
- Report damages, shortages, or discrepancies to the Store Supervisor / Manager.
- Ensure the forklift and other equipment are operated safely and maintained properly.
Preferred Background
- Previous experience in F&B, hotel, catering, or large-scale warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and HACCP standards.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory software).
