Storekeeper(Steel Industry)

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, and supplies
• Maintain accurate stock records using manual logs and inventory systems
• Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration
• Issue materials based on approved requisitions and maintain proper documentation
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records
• Coordinate with procurement and project/site teams regarding material requirements
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the store/warehouse area
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures
• Prepare reports on stock movement, inventory levels, and material usage

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of storekeeping experience in the steel or metal industry
