Cemex Egypt is looking for a highly analytical and results-driven Strategic Planning & Business Development Manager to join our Strategic Planning team in Cairo, Egypt.


Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and Strategic Planning & Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and implement value-driven initiatives that support sustainable growth. This role reports directly to the VP of Strategic Planning and works closely with operations, commercial, procurement, and finance teams to ensure strategic alignment across the business. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and financial capabilities with a collaborative mindset and the ability to challenge ideas constructively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic initiatives that drive long-term business growth.
  • Prepare comprehensive business cases, financial models, and ROI analyses to support executive decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to assess opportunities, challenges, and priorities.
  • Review and evaluate CAPEX requests, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage multiple projects and maintain clear priorities.
  • Monitor performance metrics and analyze KPIs, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards, presentations, and reports to support key strategic discussions.
  • Stay informed on industry, market, and economic trends to guide planning and opportunity identification.

  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and capital budgeting skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strategic/analytical tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives effectively.
  • Collaborative and dependable, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to generate actionable insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, financial planning, or investment analysis.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, strategic planning, and investment evaluation.
  • Skilled in developing and managing complex business cases and ROI models.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high accountability.
