Strategic planning & Performance Senior Specialist

Generic Accountabilities:


People Management

▪ Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.

▪ Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.

Budgeting and Financial Performance

▪ Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

▪ Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Change Management

▪ Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

▪ Prepare required statements and reports timely and accurately to meet Masdr’s and department requirements, policies and quality standards.


Job-Specific Accountabilities:


Strategic Planning Support

▪ Support the development and periodic update of Masdr’s corporate strategy by conducting research, analysis, and strategic assessments.

▪ Contribute to translating strategic objectives into measurable initiatives, KPIs, and performance targets.

▪ Support strategic planning cycles by coordinating inputs from business units and corporate functions.

▪ Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to inform strategic planning activities.

Enterprise Performance Management

▪ Support the implementation of Masdr’s enterprise performance management framework linking strategy, portfolios, and execution.

▪ Assist in defining and tracking corporate and product-level KPIs aligned with strategic objectives and performance targets.

▪ Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and provide insights on performance against approved objectives.

▪ Support performance reviews by identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

Strategic Performance Monitoring

▪ Maintain performance dashboards and scorecards providing visibility across products, financials, customer outcomes, and operational performance.

▪ Analyze performance data to identify gaps, risks, and corrective actions.

▪ Support leadership in tracking execution of strategic initiatives and roadmaps.

Strategic & Executive Reporting

▪ Prepare strategic and performance reports for executive leadership and governance bodies.

▪ Contribute to the development of executive presentations, strategic updates, and Board-level reporting materials.

▪ Consolidate inputs from multiple departments to produce clear, data-driven performance insights.

Stakeholder Coordination

▪ Coordinate with strategy, product, finance, and operational teams to collect performance data and strategic updates.

▪ Support alignment between strategic planning processes and operational execution across the organization.

Continuous Improvement

▪ Identify opportunities to improve strategic planning processes, performance monitoring frameworks, and reporting mechanisms.

▪ Support the development of tools and methodologies for strategic analysis and performance management.


Job Requirements:


Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, strategy, corporate planning, performance management, consulting, or business analysis or a related field.

Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or project support roles.

• Professional certifications in strategy or performance management (e.g., Balanced Scorecard, OKRs, PMP, or strategy frameworks) are an advantage.
