We are one of the leading distributor in India especially for Excipients. Our principals is from Europe who have put their faith and trust in our abilities to establish and consolidate their brands in India. Our client are all reputed Pharma companies whom we are serving since last 14 years. We maintain around 200 Pharma grade products in ready inventory for JIT supply.
We’re looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Purchase/Sourcing Manager to join our rapidly growing pharmaceutical company. This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape our sourcing and procurement strategy from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sourcing for the pharmaceutical industry, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and a relentless drive to hustle and innovate.
As a Purchase/Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and growing our global supplier network, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials, packaging, and other essential supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy tailored to the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials, APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), excipients, packaging, and other critical supplies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.) to understand sourcing needs and define specifications.
- Identify new, innovative, and cost-effective suppliers and alternatives to meet evolving business demands.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms and pricing with suppliers, ensuring both cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Develop a robust supplier performance evaluation system to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Market Research & Risk Management:
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and supplier landscapes to anticipate sourcing challenges.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all sourcing activities comply with local and international regulatory standards, including FDA, EMA, GMP, and other pharmaceutical-specific guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, contracts, and supplier performance records.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-7 years of sourcing or procurement experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries.
- Proven track record in establishing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and sourcing complex materials (APIs, excipients, packaging).
- Experience in building and scaling sourcing functions in a high-growth, dynamic environment is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of global sourcing, supply chain management, and procurement best practices.
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and quality control standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
