Strategic Sourcing Manager at our manufacturing facility in
David City, NE. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will manage the strategic supply chain for a set of categories / commodities for up to $100M in spend as well as help lead structured cross-functional cost reduction efforts across the business. This role is responsible for the selection, management, and development of all suppliers for a category or categories. This role will lead the effort to manage quality, delivery, total cost, and cash related to materials used in production and/or for service and aftermarket shipment for all suppliers and parts within a category or categories.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline and 5-10 years’ experience in supply chain management including strategic and tactical supply.

Truck/Trailer industry and/or demonstrated expertise in aluminum procurement (coil, sheet, extrusions) highly desired.

Strong negotiation experience and skills.

Experienced in developing, implementing, and leading supply chain strategy.

Experience within a lean manufacturing environment is preferred.

Knowledge of business principles involved in category management, supplier quality, transportation, and supply analytics.

Knowledge of principles and methods of transportation for the movement of components by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits for both domestic and international purchases.

Excellent organizational and planning skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Must have working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP business software including supplier portals and control towers.

Travel as required for supplier site visits.
