Job Description:

The Strategy & PMO Director – Healthcare Transformation will lead strategic initiatives aimed at driving comprehensive change across the organization's healthcare services. This senior leadership role requires a visionary who can develop and implement transformation strategies that enhance operational efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and align with the overall mission of providing exceptional healthcare. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including regulatory frameworks, financial management, clinical practices, and stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring that all projects align with strategic priorities while adhering to best practices in project execution and change management. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership, you will facilitate the development of strategic goals and performance metrics, driving accountability for results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy development and project management on transformative initiatives, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with C-suite executives, providing strategic insights and facilitating decision-making processes through effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation projects within a healthcare organization, showcasing a strong understanding of project life cycles and methodologies, such as Agile and Lean Six Sigma.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and industry standards, ensuring alignment with both organizational and governmental objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies and performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive results.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers, payers, and community organizations.
  • Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies, ensuring that potential challenges are identified and addressed proactively throughout project lifecycles.
  • Leadership competency to mentor and develop project management teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and creativity in developing innovative solutions to address emerging healthcare challenges and market changes.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and resource allocation, with an emphasis on maximizing operational efficiency and value-based care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and communication to garner support for strategic initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to project managers and team members, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the PMO and contributing to professional development.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on industry trends and innovations, providing thought leadership in the field of healthcare transformation and strategy.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership, maintaining transparency and accountability for results.
  • Analyze healthcare market trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic planning and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of the industry.
