Structural Design Engineer

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to those with a Sharjah Municipality classification of G+12 or Unlimited.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the UAE in structural design and engineering projects.
• Proficient in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, and others.
• Strong ability to coordinate across disciplines and follow up with authorities for approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design structural systems for all projects, selecting safe and cost-effective solutions.
• Review and ensure compliance of structural drawings before submission to the municipality, and follow up on approvals.
• Coordinate structural drawings with architectural and MEP layouts.
• Attend meetings with municipalities when structural discussions or clarifications are required.
• Coordinate with the client to confirm the proposed structural system and drawings.
• Attend meetings with clients and contractors to clarify plans and respond to any inquiries.
• Conduct site visits in case of structural design-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments to explain and provide all necessary structural inputs.
• Prepare pricing drawings prior to final planning approval, when requested by the General Manager or Tendering Department.
