Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Structural Design Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for technical management of a highly-effective Bridge and Civil Structures design team, with integrated Geotechnical Engineering discipline.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the technical delivery of bridge and structure designs on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Lead technical reviews of the team’s work, including quality checks before submission.

• Plan, allocate, and coordinate resources to execute design commissions.

• Liaise with Project Managers and other Discipline Leads to manage deliverable schedules, information flow, and inter-disciplinary interfaces.

• Set and agree on priorities with Project Managers and Technical Managers.

• Meet with clients and approving authorities, when required, to present and discuss design matters.

• Provide clear direction to the Structures Team, ensuring expectations and priorities are understood.

• Report to the Technical Director on delivery, staffing, and utilization.

• Support the Technical Director with recruitment and people management within the team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Minimum 20 years' post-graduate experience in bridges and structures design, including management and supervisory experience.

• Proven experience in managing teams, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop staff to achieve project goals and high performance.

• Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and engage teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.

• A strong dedication to maintaining the highest standards of technical quality and ensuring the successful delivery of all projects on time and within budget

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous experience in the UAE and GCC, with a solid understanding of local regulations, standards, and market dynamics.

• Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions that align with project goals, business objectives, and long-term growth.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Experience working with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and software within a Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring seamless collaboration and data management throughout project lifecycle.
