Job Title: Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of structural components to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with industry standards. The role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver cost-effective and sustainable structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare structural designs, drawings, and specifications for buildings, bridges, or infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations using relevant design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure structural integrity and coordination.
  • Perform site inspections and supervise structural works to ensure compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
  • Evaluate materials and construction methods to optimize design efficiency and safety.
  • Prepare design reports, technical documentation, and project proposals.
  • Ensure designs comply with local codes, international standards, and company guidelines.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for technical discussions and issue resolution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and draftsmen.
  • Monitor project progress and report potential structural issues or delays to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional certification or membership (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in structural design and construction supervision.
  • Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes (BS, ACI, Eurocodes, or local standards).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
