Civil / Structural Engineer – G+7 Buildings (Value Engineering Specialist)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer with strong UAE construction experience in G+7 reinforced concrete buildings. The candidate will be responsible for structural execution, site supervision, shop drawing coordination, and ensuring compliance with consultant and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review structural designs for G+7 residential, commercial, or mixed-use buildings.
• Conduct structural analysis using software tools such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or SAP2000.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and reports for all structural elements (slabs, beams, columns, foundations).
• Implement value engineering solutions to optimize construction costs without compromising safety or quality.
• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure constructability and efficiency.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and contractor submissions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes (e.g., UAE Fire & Civil Codes, ASCE, BS, or Eurocodes).
• Conduct site inspections to monitor structural works, quality control, and adherence to design.
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies for structural designs.
• Support project bidding and tender processes with technical inputs and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of UAE experience, specifically with G+7 building projects.
• Proficient in structural design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit Structure).
• Strong knowledge of UAE codes, ACI, BS, and Eurocodes.
• Experience in value engineering, cost optimization, and constructability reviews.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Attributes:

• PMP, PMP-related certifications, or professional engineering license (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers).
• Hands-on experience with site supervision for G+7 or larger projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to fast-paced construction environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
