Job Summary

The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising mechanical works related to HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems in construction projects. The role ensures that mechanical installations are completed according to project specifications, safety standards, and within the scheduled timeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage mechanical works on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering teams.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Assist in material procurement and ensure timely delivery of mechanical equipment and materials.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide solutions during project execution.
  • Maintain proper project documentation and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in mechanical or MEP projects, preferably in construction or contracting companies.
  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems installation is required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Good project coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
