A Structural Engineer for contractors ensures construction projects are structurally sound, safe, and compliant with design documents and codes. They perform site inspections, design temporary works (shoring/propping), verify material strengths, analyze structural integrity, and solve on-site issues to keep projects on schedule while maintaining safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• On-site Problem Solving: Address unforeseen site conditions, material modifications, or errors by providing prompt, alternative structural solutions.
• Structural Analysis & Calculations: Calculate loads, stress, and structural stability of beams, foundations, and walls during various construction phases.
• Material Evaluation: Evaluate construction materials and verify structural steel reinforcement.
• Coordination with Teams: Liaise between site crews, project managers, architects, and designers to resolve structural discrepancies.
• Documentation: Review shop drawings, prepare field reports, and monitor progress to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Workable +9

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in Luxury Hotels, construction
