Job Title: Structural Engineer (Mid-Career)

Job Summary

Gulf Engineering and Consultant is seeking a mid-career Structural Engineer to join our Dubai office. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in structural design, analysis, and coordination for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, with strong knowledge of local authority requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Prepare and review structural design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant international codes (ACI, ASCE, IBC) and UAE local authority regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections and responding to RFIs.
• Assist in value engineering and design optimization without compromising safety and quality.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Support junior engineers and contribute to internal technical reviews.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in structural engineering consultancy.
• Prior experience working in the UAE is required.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations and approval processes.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAFE, Prokon etc).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit Structure is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction practices and site coordination.
• Good communication and report-writing skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
