We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Erection Foreman to supervise and lead the structural steel erection activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating erection crews, ensuring safe work practices, maintaining quality standards, and driving timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of structural erection crews.
- Interpret and implement erection drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Plan and organize the sequence of work to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure proper use of cranes, rigging equipment, tools, and safety gear.
- Monitor and enforce site safety practices in compliance with company and legal standards.
- Inspect completed work for structural integrity and conformance to design.
- Report progress, delays, incidents, and material requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
- Liaise with crane operators, riggers, welders, and other trades on site.
- Maintain accurate records of manpower, equipment, and materials used.
- Conduct tool-box talks and safety briefings regularly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Erection Foreman or similar supervisory role in structural steel or metal erection.
- Strong knowledge of erection techniques, safety standards, and structural drawings.
- Ability to read blueprints, layout plans, and structural erection drawings.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in steel structure erection, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role.
