Your Role: Structural Steel Fabricator

We’re seeking a Structural Steel Fabricator to join our growing team in Portland, Maine. This role involves hands-on fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel components used in industrial and mechanical construction projects across New England.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading drawings, fitting and assembling steel structures, and producing high-quality welds in a fast-paced, safety-driven shop environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Fabricate and assemble structural and miscellaneous steel components from blueprints and shop drawings
• Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, ironworkers, plasma cutters, and overhead cranes
• Perform layout, fitting, and tack welding to precise tolerances
• Collaborate with welding and fitting teams to maintain production schedules
• Ensure all work meets Phoenix’s quality and safety standards
• Assist in loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing deliveries and installations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication or related industrial trade
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings and shop details
• Proficiency in fitting, layout, and MIG or Stick welding (certifications preferred)
• Familiarity with fabrication tools, rigging, and overhead crane operations
• Commitment to quality, efficiency, and teamwork
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

Work Schedule

Location: Portland, ME (on-site at shop)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime available)
