Position Summary

KRN is seeking a Short-Term Technical Assistant (STTA) for the IT team who will serve as a key technical and functional liaison, primarily assisting the Supervisor in the administration, optimization, and support of ERP Oracle Fusion applications, Google Workspace, Ruckus Wireless networks, and Mikrotik firewall systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide software and hardware support, including facilitating meetings and conferences via Google Meet and Zoom Meetings/Webinars.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of IT equipment and devices, such as printers, laptops, and scanners.
  • Set up and configure hardware, install software, and manage drivers for both Microsoft and MacOS environments.
  • Oversee the management of Google Workspace, Office 365, and all associated domain licenses and subscriptions.
  • Administer website subscriptions, hosting services, and DNS configurations.
  • Ensure the integrity of office data through regular backups and execute prompt data recovery procedures following system failures.
  • Provide on-the-job- IT related basic training to staff members, if required.
  • Install and manage robust LAN/WAN infrastructure and other critical network components (e.g., servers, routers, access points).
  • Conduct regular system upgrades to guarantee all IT systems remain current and secure.
  • Assist in implementing IT policies and security.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities ensuring the effective performance of the IT team at KRN.

Eligibility

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, MCP) will be an added advantage.
  • 1 – 2 years of demonstrated experience in managing IT operations with a reputable organization.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (M365), Google Workspace, Active Directory (AD), Google Cloud, Oracle Fusion, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Good working knowledge of configuring Routers and understanding of essential networking concepts such as NAT, routing, and load balancing.
  • Understanding of access points, mesh networking technologies, and familiarity with SmartZone controllers.
  • Capable of configuring and supporting network-connected devices such as printers, Chromecast, Google TV, and smart TVs.
  • Understanding of VLAN setup, Layer 3 routing, and switch configuration. Familiar with switch brands including Mikrotik, Cisco, SonicWall, and Fortinet.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with report writing abilities.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to stay up-to-date on new technologies and adapt to changing IT environments.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Passionate and self-driven with the ability to handle assignments with minimal supervision.
