POSITION TITLE:

Student Device Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will support the setup and troubleshooting of instructional technology throughout the district.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in the management and setup of district Chromebooks.

Assist with Chromebook enrollment.
Assist with Chromebook help desk tickets.
Help problem solve Chromebook deployment issues.
Provide remote support for campus Chromebook issues.
Assist with asset tracking of Chromebooks.

2. Assist in the management and setup of district iPads.

Assist with iPad enrollment.
Assist with iPad help desk tickets.
Help problem solve iPad deployment issues.
Provide remote support for campus iPad issues.
Assist with asset tracking of iPads.

3. Set up and troubleshoot Google Expeditions Kits.

4. Assist in campus tracking of lost hardware.

5. Help support the efforts of the Technology Department in implementing the overall Technology Plan for the

Conroe Independent School District.

6. Perform other duties consistent with knowledge and skills as assigned.

7. Regular attendance.

8. Other duties as assigned to support the efforts of implementing the staff development needs of the District.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience working in an educational environment
Experience working in a technically-oriented environment
Experience working in a team and customer-oriented environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification

High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Experience in the management of computer systems
Technical knowledge of various operating systems
Ability to work with people in a customer-oriented environment
Experience in troubleshooting problems
Ability to manage and safeguard sensitive information
Good organizational, communication, and instructional skills combined with the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
