Student - Graphic Designer SCET Marketing Team

Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is looking for a graphic designer to work with the Smith College of Engineering and Technology Marketing Team. This position is meant for the well-organized, creative problem-solver who works to deliver collateral for memorable and inspiring experiences for UVU students.

Specifically, this position will:

  • Create graphically designed content for print and digital assets, including the UVU website.
  • Be instrumental in creative projects for the department with the support of an in-house creative team.
  • Develop visual communication standards and style guides for marketing materials across the Student Affairs division.
  • Foster key relationships with vendors, executive-level staff, university marketing, university printing, and the mail room to oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Use marketing and design to solve objectives for the department.
  • Assist in digital signage distribution and management.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Create graphically designed content for print and digital assets, including the UVU website.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

  • Must be a current UVU student.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Knowledge of graphic design and the creative process for both printed and on-line materials
  • Knowledge of print and product materials and working with vendors.
  • Highly organized with baseline project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and decision-making skills.
  • Skilled in a broad range of graphic design computer applications including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and XD.
  • Ability to be flexible with creative design.
  • Ability to manage challenging workload with multiple timelines.
  • Ability to organize and execute activities for current student
