Under the supervision of the Library Director, the Student Success Librarian assists the library’s efforts to provide instruction and tutorials that appeal to the individual information needs of JC students, both in person and virtually. The Student Success Librarian also assists with library cataloging and technical services.
This position is part-time for 10-15 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the supervision of library student workers as needed.
CONTACTS AND PURPOSE OF CONTACTS
Internal: Coordinate and communicate within the College community to facilitate student enrollment. Frequent contact with faculty and other departments for the purposes of information sharing.
External: Make contact, as needed, with schools, businesses and other agencies, in addition to current and prospective students, to provide information about Jackson College.
Minimum/Required Education
Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS, MS, MSLS, etc.) from an American Library Association-accredited institution.
