Student Systems and Process Optimization Lead
The Student Systems and Process Optimization Lead is an advocate, architect and delivery manager for technology-based improvement in systems and processes that impact Barnard students and faculty. Reporting to the Director, Workday Platform, this role supports the technical design and process improvement efforts related to Workday Student and other student-focused administrative systems at Barnard College. This position combines deep understanding of student processes, expertise in Workday, and a strategic, community-centered approach to business process redesign.
This is a hybrid position. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, a private, distraction-free work environment is required.
Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities / What you’ll own
Assessing the current state of student-facing processes and systems, eliciting pain points and opportunities for improvement, and structuring plans to implement improvements.
Provide expertise by maintaining skills and awareness of new developments in student-facing systems in use or being implemented at the College, and promote full and effective use of these systems.
Support the implementation of a new student information system, in collaboration with the Workday team, the SIS project manager, and all functional stakeholders of the project.
Help provide strategic direction by prioritizing system & process improvement work.
Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical users.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in student information system analysis, design, development, and support.
Comprehensive knowledge of business and technical requirements analysis as they relate to student information systems integration, data configuration, workflow management, and business processes.
Proficient office productivity software skills (Office, G.Suite, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Salary: $130k - $140k
