Student Teacher-Wegner Day School

Supports the day-to-day operations for contingent workers; tracks, organizes, and manages contingent workers, ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate documentation, and timely communication with hiring managers and external partners, prior to assignment. Coordinates all recurring compliance for contingent workers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Serves as the point of contact for hiring managers with questions regarding the contingent worker process. Helps to determine if a role should be classified as a contingent worker or employee.

  • Collects all contingent worker data and inputs into the HRIS system.

  • Monitors the contingent worker onboarding dashboard and report to ensure all records are completed in a timely manner, including onboarding paperwork.

  • Monitors the HR New Hire Drop Box to collect department checklists for new contingent workers.

  • Initiates recurring compliance items for contingent workers that have been with Boys Town for more than a year.

  • Coordinates with Security to ensure badge is available for new contingent workers on the first day.

  • Works with HRIS to update contingent worker paperwork in HRIS system as necessary.

  • Serves as a point of contact for vendors and agencies bringing new contingent workers to Boys Town.

  • Communicates with Legal department and Organizational Compliance for new contracts and agreements for contingent workers.

  • Reviews and approves contracts and agreements in Agiloft.

  • Evaluates the results of all background checks and drug screen to ensure they meet requirements. Completes an individual assessment when needed and escalates to Supervisor to make hiring decision.

  • Reviews current list of contingent workers and communicates with managers to validate active status.

  • Monitors end dates and reaches out to managers to remind to end or submit an extension.

  • Identifies opportunities for improving the contingent worker experience and process for efficiency.

  • May assist in the Recruiting process by scheduling and conducting interviews, onboarding new hires, or attending career fairs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of policies and procedures and accurately interpret to give correct, consistent information upon request.

  • Ability to solve problems and use critical thinking skills.

  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal communication skills to interact with internal and external individuals at all levels.

  • Must possess the ability to work independently and work successfully in a team environment.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Working knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing or supporting contingent labor programs.

  • Previous Workday experience.

  • Familiarity with contingent labor laws or independent contractor compliance.
