Job Title: Student Tech-Cath lab

Unit: Cath Lab

Shift: PRN-Days 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

Assists Cath and EP Lab staff with various procedures necessary to the operational efficiency of the department. Assists with image processing, image management, and patient care. Carries out duties as directed by various Cath/ EP Staff in the assigned area. Is knowledgeable in the daily activities of Cath/EP and provides patients with the utmost quality care.

Essential Duties & Functions:

1. Implements screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

2. Assists technologists and nurses in procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.

3. Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction

4. Maintains knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.

5. Follows radiation safety policies and procedures.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Educational Qualifications: Attending a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program

Certification: BLS certification required

Experience: No prior job-related work experience

Knowledge/Skills:
Highly motivated, goal-oriented, with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
Ability to evaluate & prioritize department, technologist and/or nurse, & patient needs.
