Job Profile

Clinical job profile involving mostly being in touch with patients, their respective consultants and also residents in order to dispense appropriate and on time medical assistance. Additionally, coordinating with study authorities, co-ordinators and data team for effective data collection and progress of the study.

To look after their adherence to TB regimen, side effects caused and advise/guide patients on what the next best step is in terms of investigations and TB treatment.

Monitor and dispense of Bedaquilline and other drugs from RNTCP for TB Patients.

·         General Job responsibilities:

o   Follow up with MDR TB patients for side effects that can be caused  by the TB drugs

o   To attend to patients and help them adhere to their regime.

o   Co-ordinate with patients, consultants and data team for effective     functioning.

o   Keep track of patient health and side effects through regular follow ups or teleconsultations.

·         Specific Job responsibilities

o   See new MDR TB cases or cases eligible as per study requirements.

o   Screen TB patients and guide them regarding enrollment

o   Follow up with patients on MDR TB treatment (under primary care of consultants and fill up the study specific visit specific required CRFs.

o   Give advice on the next best step to side effects, dosage of TB medications.

o   Record patient adherence to drug

o   Direct patient for the investigations and blood work required for better treatment

o   Record TB patient’s treatment outcome.
