Position Title:
Subcontract Manager (Constructions)
Responsibilities
-
Prime:
-
Able to review proposal & identify required items of Civil/Mech/E&I.
-
Technical evaluation of the subcontract in consultation with the Project Engineering Team
-
Survey the market, gather data of potential Subcontractors, assess, enlist and maintain a data bank of Subcontractors.
-
Pre-qualification of subcontractors, tendering and finalisation of Subcontracts (both during proposal and execution stage).
-
Handling of E & P issues of Subcontractor in close co-ordination with EP team and Scope clarifications with EP team.
-
Maintain record and track BOQ measurement (BOQ)/MTO according to the approved drawings.
-
Preparing BOQ out of Work volumes provided by Engineering.

Preparing the scope of work and split of responsibility, along with Site execution team.
-
Preparing and floating RFQ/RFP to the prospect bidders and taking the Quotations and completing the bid cycle.
-
Conducting Techno commercial clarification meetings with bidders along with the site execution, Engineering, and project teams as per the requirements.

Correspondence and meetings with Subcontractors on query/clarifications and closing of points.

Conduction technical and commercial Negotiation with bidders.

Preparing the Commercial Bid Evaluation, Bid conditioning.

Preparing the Approval Notes and presentation for Management approval.

Preparation of LOA and work orders for award of contract.
-
Change order management and Contract administration throughout the contract life cycle.

Assist Construction Management Team on contractual matters related to subcontractor.

Subcontract dispute resolution

Identification of Subcontractors’ weakness and corrective measures
-
Supplier relationship management
-
Assessment of HSE compliance Capabilities of the subcontractor

Evaluating the Quality Control & Assurance aspect of the subcontract

Evaluating performance of Subcontractors periodically and provide feedback.

Subcontract Closeout

Key Deliverables

Technical evaluation and administration of Subcontracts.

Carry out regular evaluation of subcontractors and maintain an updated.
Subcontractor database.

Support Proposals by obtaining offers from Subcontractors on a back-to-back basis for construction and other services.

Conclude partnering agreements with Subcontractors, where required.
Education:
Degree / Diploma in Engineering
Professional Experience
Overall, 15 Years + experience with at least 6-7 years’ experience in similar role with international EPC company.
