Position Overview
The SME will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing high-quality teaching–learning materials (TLMs) for elementary school students (Grades 1–5). The role requires strong subject expertise, creativity, pedagogical understanding, and the ability to design engaging resources aligned with curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Content Development
- Develop age-appropriate, accurate, and engaging teaching–learning materials (workbooks, worksheets, lesson plans, classroom activities, assessments, manipulatives, and digital resources).
- Ensure alignment with curriculum frameworks (NCF 2022, state boards, CBSE) and learning outcomes.
- Integrate pedagogical approaches such as Constructivism, CPA, Inquiry-based learning, Balanced Literacy, etc.
2. Pedagogical Design
- Design materials that follow child-centered, experiential, and activity-based methodologies.
- Ensure scaffolding across all resources (examples, guided practice, independent practice).
- Use visuals, illustrations, and manipulatives effectively to enhance comprehension.
3. Quality Assurance
- Review and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, grade-level appropriateness, and conceptual correctness.
- Incorporate feedback from academic reviewers, editors, and trainers.
- Maintain consistency in design templates, language, difficulty level, and learning progression.
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with designers, editors, trainers, and curriculum leads to produce polished final products.
- Coordinate with the training team to ensure resources align with classroom implementation practices.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, pilot feedback meetings, and school visits if required.
5. Research & Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest educational practices, child psychology, and curriculum trends.
- Suggest and develop new formats, activity types, question types, and TLMs.
- Review global resources (e.g., Singapore Math, Orton-Gillingham, IB PYP, Oracy frameworks) for inspiration.
6. Project Management
- Meet deadlines for content submission.
- Maintain documentation, version control, and content repository.
- Plan timelines and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

- Ability to articulate pedagogy and explain rationale for designs.

- Maintenance of structured folders, naming conventions, and versioning.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Education, Child Development, English/Math/EVS specialization (depending on SME domain).
- 1–7years of experience in curriculum design or elementary teaching.
- Strong knowledge of pedagogy, scaffolding, and assessment strategies.
- Ability to design worksheets and TLMs using Word/Google Docs (design skills are a plus).
