Substance Use Disorder Counselor-(SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC)

Overview:

Arrow Behavioral Health Service, LLC is currently recruiting remote and onsite clinicians for full-time, Substance Abuse Counselors (must have a minimum of a SAC-IT) to provide individual and group counseling, case management, and supervision to persons under the care of corrections. Onsite location is in New Lisbon WI.

Responsibilities:

• Screen and assess the need for and type of programming that would most effectively address individual substance use treatment needs
• Provide group and individual treatment for offenders
• Participate in team meetings
• Knowledge of ethics and Wisconsin laws, ability to set boundaries, knowledge of power and control issues unique to correctional environment.
• Provide information as to the purpose of substance use and mental health recovery models
• Provide assessment of core treatment needs and develop an individualized treatment plan

Requirements: please review these requirements-

• MUST HOLD AT LEAST A VALID (SAC-IT) SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR IN TRAINING LICENSE.
• Must be willing to submit to and pass a Criminal Background Check as required by Wisconsin law
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent higher preferred
• Minimum six (6) months experience providing counseling and case management to clients with substance abuse issues.
• Knowledge and training in motivational interviewing, cognitive interventions, trauma informed care and other Cognitive-Based Therapy (CBT) counseling theories
• Ability to work in a correctional environment with diverse inmate population

Scheduled Hours: Full-time Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays off with pay.

Licenses:

REQUIRED: SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC, in good standing, issued by the state of Wisconsin
