Summer Associate WV's Promise Youth Alliance Inc

WV’s Promise Summer Associate project allows a community organization to recognize its strengths- great way to focus on the positive while working on the challenges (you can always find an organization fulfilling 2 or more of the promises to some degree so there is momentum in building on what they are already doing). Various activities focusing on the 5 Promises within Education: Programming to prevent summer learning loss for students; STEM, Reading, Arts, Healthy Futures, Gardening, 4-H Programs, supporting or expanding Summer Feeding Sites, meal sites that serve both children, youth and communities, and supporting drug prevention. The Summer Associate VISTA program allows for organizations throughout WV to supplement their anti-poverty activities with an infusion of "hands-on volunteers" during the summer months.
