Summer Camp Counselor – Groton Country Club

Location: Groton Country Club, Groton, MA

Position Type: Seasonal (Mid-June to Mid-August)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Age Requirement: 18+

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Expected Hours: 40 per week.

Job Overview:

Groton Country Club is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Summer Camp Counselors for the 2025 season! If you love working with kids and enjoy outdoor activities, this is the perfect summer job for you. As a Camp Counselor, you will lead and engage campers in a variety of activities, including:

• Golf
• Pickleball & Tennis
• Swimming
• Arts & Crafts
• Group Games & Sports
• Other fun recreational programs

You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging camp experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and actively participate in all camper activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times
• Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment
• Lead and assist with age-appropriate games, crafts, and sports
• Provide guidance and conflict resolution support for campers
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and daily camp logistics
• Communicate effectively with campers, staff, and parents as needed
• Enforce camp rules and maintain a safe atmosphere

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• CPR/AED & First Aid certification required before camp starts (Onsite training available)
• Completion of camp training before the first day (Provided)
• Experience working with children preferred (e.g., babysitting, coaching, tutoring, daycare)
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
• Comfortable being outdoors and staying active in various weather conditions
• Ability to pass a background check
