Summer Camp Counselor

The Agnes Irwin School, an all-girls Pre-K through 12th-grade independent school in the
Philadelphia suburbs, is committed to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of girls
and young women. Providing its students with a rigorous academic education, AIS is dedicated
to developing each student highest potential in intellect, character, and physical well-being.


For the summer of 2026, The Agnes Irwin School be running its Summer at AIS program from
Monday, June 15 through Friday, August 7, 2026. Summer at AIS is seeking energetic,
creative, and responsible Summer Camp Counselors work alongside our Camp Specialists to
provide high-quality, enriching programs to boys and girls, ages 3 through rising grade 7.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:



  • Assist Camp Specialists with small group activities in specialized areas (some
    programs include: STEM, The Arts, PE, etc.)
  • Implement activity-based curriculum to promote social, emotional, physical, and
    cognitive development
  • Ensure the health and safety of all campers by following program procedures
  • Build positive relationships with all campers and staff
  • Chaperone field trips
  • Assist during arrival and dismissal times
  • Other duties as assigned by Camp Specialists and/or Director of Auxiliary
    Programming
  • Qualifications:
  • Must be 15 years of age by June 15, 2026
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills; ability to interact
    appropriately with both campers, families, and camp staff
  • Ability to set clear limits and supervise groups of school-age children
  • Previous babysitting and/or camp experience highly desirable
  • Sensitivity to and/or experience in working with children and adults from diverse
    cultural and economic backgrounds
  • Ability to attend mandatory camp orientation in mid-May/early June
