Summer Camp Counselor

Dates & Times:
Radnor Day Camp is a 6-week summer camp for children entering grades 1 to 9.
Monday-Friday, June 22 to July 31 (camp closed July 4)
Camp Hours - 9:00am to 3:00pm (staff hours approx. 8:15am to 3:30pm)

Duties:
- Supervise and engage with campers throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, and sports
- Assist with organizing and implementing special events
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment for all campers
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and positive behavior
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a fun and memorable camp experience

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, such as babysitting or early childhood education
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children of various ages
- Knowledge or experience in athletics, theater, coaching, instructing, or classroom management is a plus
- Understanding of childhood development and behavior management techniques
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with children in a fun and dynamic summer camp environment. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of campers while gaining valuable experience in youth development.

This is a seasonal, summer position. The camp day hours are Monday-Friday, 9am to 3pm, however staff will be required to work longer hours (approximately 8:15am-3:30pm). Compensation will be based on experience.

Pay: $8.50 - $14.00 per hour
