Summer Camp Counselor

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers of various ages. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and ensure that all campers have a memorable and positive experience while fostering their personal growth and development.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Plan, organize, and lead various camp activities such as sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and any concerns.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, friendship, and respect among campers.

Skills

• Experience in a camp setting or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain order during activities.
• Effective behavior management techniques to address camper needs positively.
• Previous experience working with students or children in roles such as childcare, babysitting, daycare, or tutoring is highly valued.
• Knowledge of sports coaching or recreational activities is a plus.
• Certification in First Aid or CPR is beneficial but not mandatory; training may be provided.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Must have a valid Drivers License.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
