Duties
- Lead and supervise children during daily camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational, educational, and creative programs aligned with camp goals
- Manage group dynamics through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques
- Provide first aid and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies in accordance with safety protocols
- Support children with special needs by implementing inclusive strategies and collaborating with specialists when necessary
- Foster a positive environment rooted in respect, kindness, and teamwork, encouraging children to express themselves confidently
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth camp operations and maintain clear communication with parents or guardians
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and promote positive social interactions
- Certifications such as first aid, CPR, or child care training are advantageous
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to lead diverse activities
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children from various backgrounds are essential
- Previous involvement in teaching or working with students in educational or recreational settings will support your success in this role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
