Job Summary
Lone Mountain is seeking a Summer Camp Manager to lead one of our most popular and dynamic summer camp offerings where the focus is fun, positive social experiences for kids ages 6-11. Camps take place at parks in the morning and filled with activities at Lone Mountain in the afternoon, including swimming in our pool. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily camp operations, coordinate engaging activities, and ensure a safe, inclusive space for children of all backgrounds. Your leadership will inspire both staff and campers alike, fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes childhood development, teamwork, and play. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and participate in daily camp activities that promote fun, learning, and personal growth for children of various ages.
  • Manage and support camp staff by providing guidance on "class" management, behavior management, and child safety protocols.
  • Ensure all Lone Mountain safety procedures are followed diligently, including first aid readiness and emergency response plans.
  • Maintain a positive environment by fostering teamwork among staff and encouraging respectful interactions with campers.
  • Communicate daily with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that arise during the camp days.
  • Manage camper checking/checkout and campers transitions to and from other Lone Mountain camps. This requires excellent attention to detail.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, tutoring programs, or summer camps.
  • Strong background in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and childhood development principles. This camp is heavily reliant on strong communication skills, a positive and patient demeanor and conflict resolution skills.
  • Certifications in first aid and CPR are required prior to the start of camps on June 15.
  • Previous experience in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or working with students enhances your ability to create engaging activities.
