Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise groups of children in a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games.
  • Ensure the safety of all campers by maintaining vigilant supervision and implementing proper behavior management strategies.
  • Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and teamwork.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance to create a positive camp environment.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any medical or behavioral incidents.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to keep campers safe and happy and to ensure camp operates efficiently.
  • Contribute to cleaning and organizing of camp areas.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, tutoring, or summer camps is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
  • Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred.
  • Ability to handle diverse behaviors constructively.
  • Passion for working with children and creating a fun, safe environment that fosters learning and growth.
  • Ability to lead activities involving sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare routines confidently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
