Arnot Realty is seeking a reliable and observant Summer Lifeguard to ensure the safety of residents at the pool at Hickory Grove Apartments. In this role, you will enforce safety rules, monitor pool conditions, and respond quickly to any emergencies. You'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise pool activities and enforce all safety rules and regulations
Welcome and engage with residents in a professional manner
Monitor weather conditions and initiate emergency procedure when necessary
Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
Identify and address unsafe behaviors or hazards
Administer First Aid and CPR when required
Open and close the pool area
Maintain cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas
Monitor pool sanitation and report concerns
Ensure all safety and rescue equipment is available and in good condition
Exercise sound judgement while working independently
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
Must be 16 years of age or older
6+ months of experience preferred
Lifeguard Certification required
CPR and First Aid certification required

Physical Requirements

Strong swimming ability
Ability to monitor pool activity and safety conditions continuously
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergencies
Strong communication skills with residents and staff
Ability to lift equipment and assist individuals in distress
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods outdoors in varying weather
Occasionally bending, kneeling, and jumping required

Schedule & Compensation

Seasonal Position: May through September, weekends required
Hourly Pay: $16.00 per hour
